牛舌處理起來很麻煩，要買有機牛舌更不容易。

我看到我平常消費有機食品的網路商店有在賣。

剛好老公的爸爸來倫敦看奧運，就想做一些不一樣的食物給他吃吃看。

It takes a lot of time to cook beef tongue, and it is difficult to get organic ones.

I saw it on offer at the organic online shop, which we normally order our weekly groceries from.

Tino's father was here for the Olympic games, and I wanted to prepare something different for him.

把剛送到的新鮮牛舌用滾水煮半小時，切掉灰色表皮。

換一鍋冷水，放入牛舌、胡椒粒、月桂樹葉和百里香煮兩個小時。

煮好的牛舌放涼，舌根切片，舌間切丁。

第一道，切丁的牛舌炒辣椒、大蒜和青蔥。

第二道，在切片的牛舌上灑青蔥，加香油跟黑醋調味。

I cooked the fresh beef tongue in boiling water for 30 minutes, and cut off the grey part.

I changed it to a new pot of cold water and added peppercorns, bay leaf and thyme to cook for another two hours.

After the tongue had cooked, I put it aside to cool down.

I sliced back half of the tongue and diced the front part into small cubes.

For the first dish, I fried the cubes with chili, garlic and spring onion.

For the second dish, I sprinkled spring onion on the sliced tongue and seasoned with sesame oil and Chinese vinegar.

今晚走中國風，四菜一湯。

大概是太中國了，老公的爸爸吃不太習慣。

唉~~~裝好媳婦失敗。

Dinner was Chinese style, four dishes and one soup.

Perhaps it was too Asian for Tino's dad, he didn't seem too enjoy it too much.

Sigh ... the plan to be a good daughter in law failed.

隔天，為了雪恥，做西式三明治。

法國麵包夾起士、生菜、牛舌跟青蔥。

公公說這道他超愛，吃完一整條。

The next day, I had to save my reputation.

So I made a sandwich, with french baguette, cheese, lettuce, beef tongue and spring onion.

My father in law said that he loves it, he finished the whole baguette.
