我最近很有口福,常在外面吃好的。

今天中午表妹請我去我想很久的Marcus Wareing吃飯。

Marcus Wareing在Berkeley旅館一樓,位於倫敦最奢侈的區域Knightbridge。


I have been very lucky lately.

I had several opportunities to enjoy some nice food. 

My cousin Jasmine invited me for lunch today at Marcus Wareing, which has been on my list for a long time.

Marcus Wareing is at the Berkeley Hotel,  located in Knightsbridge, the poshest area in London.

這是餐廳送的開胃菜。

不知道是不是中午,餐廳的服務生雖然態度很好,跟其他的我吃過星星餐廳比有一些小不專業的感覺。


 These were the amuse buches.

The staff was very nice but a bit less professional than in other Michelin restaurants I tried before. 

I thought it might be because we went at lunch time.

前菜

我點Sweetbread, shallot, carrot,表妹點Quail, beetroot, watercress。

我一般不會點義大利餃,但菜單上並沒標明,服務生也沒說明。


Starter

I ordered "Sweetbread, shallot, carrot", Jasmine ordered "Quail, beetroot, watercress".

I normally wouldn't order ravioli, but it didn't say on the menu and the staff didn't explain either.

主菜

我點Middle white pork, gem, pear, mustard,表妹點Bavette steak, oyster bearnaise, leeks, pommes cocotte。

主菜很好吃,份量也很足夠。


Main Course

I ordered "Middle white pork, gem, pear, mustard", Jasmine ordered "Bavette steak, oyster bearnaise, leeks, pommes cocotte".

The main courses were very tasty, and the portion size was good.

上點心前的小點心,旁邊裝飾的昰乾小黃瓜片,很可愛。


This little dessert came before the main dessert.

It was decorated with a dry cucumber slice, very cute.

一般在點甜品時,服務生都會問"有需要飲料嗎?"。

但今天的服務生似乎有點急,點完就快速離開。

表妹在點茶時,服務生放下這一大盒就走了,過了一會才回來問我們的決定,當時餐廳並沒有很忙ㄡ。

雖然盒子上都有解釋,但吃星星餐廳不昰都會期待服務生的專業解釋嗎?


In my experience, the restaurant staff will usually ask "Would you like tea or coffee?" when ordering dessert.

But the waiter seemed in a bit of a rush, he left immediately after taking our dessert order.

And the waitress left the whole tea showcase on our table after Jasmine asked for the tea choices.

She came back after a few minutes to ask for our choices.

It wasn't very busy at that time.

There was a witten explanation inside the box, but people would expect a professional explanation from the Michelin Star restaurant staff, right?

甜點

我點Horlicks, honey, whisky,表妹點Apple, crispy cinnamon pastry, apple jelly。

甜點上來時,盤子上的果凍不停的晃動,還滿有趣的。

兩樣甜點都好好吃ㄡ~~~


Dessert

I ordered "Horlicks, honey, whisky", Jasmine ordered "Apple, crispy cinnamon pastry, apple jelly".

When the dessert was severed, the jelly on the plate was moving.

It looked very funny.

Both desserts were delicious.
